Safestyle charity donations in full bloom

Our commitment at Safestyle to provide the nation with energy saving windows and doors is alongside our support of worthwhile causes. One of the latest demonstrations of our commitment was a generous donation of £1000 to a Pudsey-based disabled people’s home run by the international charity, Leonard Cheshire Disability.

Leonard Cheshire Disability supports over 21,000 disabled people throughout the UK and aims to change attitudes towards disability and to serve disabled people around the world.

This year the charity celebrates its 60th anniversary and to mark this special occasion, the staff and residents at the Pudsey-based home were nominated for entry into the “Leeds in Bloom” business and community competition, for which the judging takes place in July.

“Leeds in Bloom” is a competition open to all residents, businesses and charities in Leeds and aims to promote a sense of pride in gardens of all shapes and sizes – a greener city leading to a greener environment.

A perfect concept as far as Safestyle UK are concerned, as we are at the forefront of the drive to combat climate change with our state-of-the-art range of energy saving windows and doors, winning the prestigious G07 Installer of the Year Award.

Steve Birmingham, our Managing Director, said, “As a company we are constantly approached for sponsorships and donations and its very difficult deciding upon which requests to assist, especially given the countless number of absolutely fantastic and highly worthy causes out there.
However, The Leonard Cheshire Disability request for assistance stood out immediately as it wasn’t just a request for donations to go towards assisting themselves, but was instead a request for assistance in helping the staff and residents of the home to create something that can be seen and enjoyed by everyone in their local community.”
