Newly born baby Isabella, of the Erwood family in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, was recently given a very warm welcome into the world with the assistance of Safestyle UK. She was born just before Christmas and was diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism, which is a rare condition affecting some 1 in 4000 babies born.

A consequence of this condition means that Isabella must be kept warm at all times, so it became vital that little “Izzy” should come home to a warm and cosy house, installed with the latest in heat retaining, energy efficient window and door technology. A week before Izzy was born, the Erwoods decided to improve their home’s energy efficiency. James, Izzy’s father, explained, “When the cold weather set in, we soon noticed how draughty the house actually was.
